We're celebrating International Beer Day the only way we know how, three cheers to local beers during happy hour on a Friday afternoon.

Cruise through the Brews

We love a great brewery option that allows us to slowly sip our way through a pale ale. Be sure to swing through Savannah River Brewing Co. to slow sip a Savannah River IPA or Witty Belgian.

Our brew of choice? Try grabbing a six-pack of the Phinizy Swamp Thing from Savannah River Brewing Co. for a juicy, hazy Berliner-Style wheat beer brewed with traditional European malts and hops, and infused with pink guava and blackberry.

Downtown Lowdown

In the mood to relax outdoors with a cold one? Swing by Riverwatch Brewery for our brew of choice, a smooth, crisp, and light-bodied Southern Lager. Koozie not included.

ProTip: Riverwatch Brewery is KNOWN to feature pups & brews on their Instagram - all the more reason to give them a follow!

Grab a Growler

There's nothing better than picking up a growler or howler with your favorite craft beer. The Hive located in downtown Augusta offers over 70 choices on tap for you to fill on your way home for an 'on the couch' happy hour. Our growler pick? Fill er' up with a Riverwatch Orange Creamsicle - a milkshake double IPA oat with wheat & lactose. Pair it with a 'bee-hive' essential menu item for the perfect combination of flavor and brew.

150+ Reasons to Celebrate

With over 150+ options to select from around the globe, Arsenal Taproom features an enormous selection and a spacious beer garden to enjoy a happy hour deserved every Friday. Pair with a gourmet grilled cheese or tater tots for a salty treat to accompany your selection.

We encourage our visitors and locals to practice safe social distancing while exploring our beautiful city, and to continue following recommendations for travel, sanitation, and safety given by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Effective July 10 through September 8, the Mayor of Augusta has issued an executive order requiring masks to be worn while participating in public activities. For more information, view our guidance on masks and social distancing.
