Enhance Downtown Augusta

Though the old adages tell us otherwise, books are, in fact, first judged by their covers. In order to draw attention to the city's unique stories, Augusta must link development along the river with the revitalization of the downtown area.

Over the next five years, the Augusta CVB, Downtown Development Authority and Greater Augusta Arts Council will partner with the City and Community to:

• Facilitate the expansion and enhancement of the Augusta Common
• Identify and establish districts in downtown Augusta
• Promote incentives for downtown redevelopment and investment
• Facilitate recruitment of a private golf car shuttle service
• Establish sculpture gardens and trails
• Enhance beautification and cleanliness in downtown Augusta
