For the adventurous pups out there who don't mind getting a little wet! Hit the water with your dog at Savannah Rapids Park at the headgates of the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area. Any local will tell you the canal is the best place to kayak or paddle board! If you're looking for dry land, the canal also has walking trails to explore with Fido.
 

6. Exploring Nature at Phinizy Swamp

Adventure into the wild with your little wolf at Phinizy Swamp Nature Park. Stroll the boardwalk and trails while looking for blue herons, red-shouldered hawks, river otters, and maybe even an elusive alligator in their natural habitat. Meet up with other pet owners and pups at the Walk Your Pet Hike on select Saturdays at Phinizy. 
 

7. Camping at Mistletoe State Park

Located just northwest of Augusta, Mistletoe State Park is a great place to spend the afternoon with Snoopy. There's almost 2000 acres to explore. So, you and your pup pal can enjoy the lake, nature trails, camping, or just a relaxing nap in the great outdoors!
 

8. Climbing around at Rea's Creek Aqueduct Park

Sniff out some history with Rover at this pre-Civil War structure, now part of the Augusta Canal National Heritage AreaRea's Creek Aqueduct has the best waterfalls in Augusta's River Region and makes for a great spot for your doggie to cool off. 9. Playing at Pendleton King Park

10. Dinner at the Pizza Joint
