Before Woodrow Wilson grew up in our city and later became President, before the Masters Golf Tournament began, before James Brown shined shoes on our streets and later started a music revolution, Augusta was known as a healthful resort town. So our city has deep roots in medicine. The Medical College of Georgia was first established here and since then, more than half a dozen medical facilities are located in Augusta.
