Mistletoe State Park

Located on 71,100-acre Clarks Hill Lake near Augusta, this park is known as one of the finest bass fishing spots in the nation. Boat ramps provide easy access to one of the Southeast’s largest lakes. During the summer, guests can cool off at the sandy beach or on miles of shaded nature trails. Many programs are hosted throughout the year, such as astronomy programs, concerts and nature walks.

Garden and Trail Cleanup - Your State Parks Day

Mistletoe is seeking volunteers to tidy gardens and trails for the fall season. Volunteers will be able to choose their own challenge whether picking up litter on the Rock Dam or pulling weeds in the garden behind the office. Meet at the Nature Center at 9:00 a.m. for instruction. Bring sturdy shoes, water, gloves and hand tools. 

Kids Fishing Rodeo

Kids, we’re stocking a special area with fish just so you can catch dinner for the family tonight. There will be raffle prizes and a quick lunch available afterwards. Limited to kids ages 15 and under. Fish from the bank only; bring your own pole and tackle; no fishing license required.

Family Fall Festival

This Fall come to Mistletoe to enjoy hayrides, crafts, hikes, games, story telling and lots more family fun. We will have programs and events all afternoon.

Hike and Craft

  • Mistletoe State Park

Join the naturalist on a hike lasting about one hour and then create a craft as a souvenir. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather. Bring plenty of water. . Remember, these hikes will try different trails at Mistletoe, so arrive a little early to find out where each month’s hike is starting.  .
