Augusta is always on our mind, especially on National Georgia Day, so what better way to celebrate the Peach State than to shop, eat, and drink everything local. Give the gift of Georgia today to celebrate.

That beautiful mural up top? The artist is Autumn Von Plinsky and the mural was completed as part of the Garden City Project.

Mural Mural on the Wall

So who's the fairest city of them all in Georgia? That would most certainly be The Garden City. Celebrate the day with a quick picture in front of the Garden City mural located in downtown Augusta or grab some Garden City swag from Freshwater Design Co. or a t-shirt from Land of Thee - all available online to be delivered straight to you!

Georgia Peach

Here in Georgia, we celebrate the peach as much as possible. You'll catch us baking peach cobbler, whipping up peach ice cream and yes, peach VODKA. Fruitland Vodka is made right here in Augusta from amazing Georgia-grown peaches. Add this to your cocktail for a peachy retreat from at-home work or the perfect companion to your front porch relaxation.

Local Spotlight: Fruitland Vodka is STOCKED at a lot of our favorite local restaurants, so be sure to ask for a Fruitland-inspred cocktail as you venture out this week. Our recommendation? Swing by Farmhaus Burger for a peachy AND boozy milkshake made with FRESH peaches.

ProTip: Follow Fruitland Vodka @fruitlandaugusta for tastings and updates.

Cream of the Crop

Besides a rocking chair on your front porch, there's really no better companion to peach vodka than a salty treat. Peanuts and pecans are Georgia’s state crop, so grab an adorable tin of mixed nuts from Watanut. This local shop roasts its selection of pecans and peanuts, covers them in chocolate or salts them to perfection.

Local Spotlight: Peanuts & pecans aren't the ONLY thing we get right - Augusta has the BEST selection of boiled peanuts too. Swing by Finch & Fifth in Surrey Center for the saltiest treat in the south.

ProTip: We're OBSESSED with these adorable tins - grab one today for the perfect gift from Watanut or swing through Augusta & Co.

Buzz-Worthy

The honeybee is Georgia’s state insect, and Augusta prides itself on the sweetest honey your biscuit can find. Give Augusta Honey Company and Riverbluff Honey a taste when you make your next cup of tea or bake a batch of buttermilk biscuits. Both can be purchased the next time you swing through Augusta & Co. or sent to your door via the Augusta & Co. online shopping experience.

Local Spotlight: Want our favorite spot for homemade biscuits? Frog & the Hen will whip you up a batch of four mega-sized cheddar biscuits to go with your new bottle of Augusta honey.

Speaking of buzz-worthy, most of these products can be found on the Augusta & Co. online store and sent directly to your door.

We encourage our visitors and locals to practice safe social distancing while exploring our beautiful city, and to continue following recommendations for travel, sanitation, and safety given by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Effective July 10 through September 8, the Mayor of Augusta has issued an executive order requiring masks to be worn while participating in public activities.
