Two Words: Love Local

Our community is looking for ways to help now more than ever. One local brand, Freshwater Design Co., has created a signature keychain to remind people how they can give back to the community they love & cherish. On any given day, the brand offers handmade products that include earrings, bracelets, hats, leather-wrapped mason jar mugs, and leather pennants.

“We have been overwhelmed with what we're seeing in the news, social media and in-person. Everyone is 'coming together' while staying apart to help local businesses,” says Freshwater Design Co. co-founders Brianne Diermeier & Danielle Harmadi.

The sister duo spoke with close friends that work in healthcare, learning how desperate times really are. They knew they wanted to lend a helping hand, all while keeping their distance. “After some research, we found Direct Relief, a humanitarian aid organization with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by tragedies or emergencies, regardless of politics, religion or ability to pay,” explains the family team.

Feelin' the Love

The signature brand customized a new campaign tailored around loving your local community with simplicity in mind. Starting today, they are offering different designs showcased on leather and velvet key fobs that are completely customizable for your city and state.

A whopping 50% of the proceeds will be given to the Direct Relief fund to aid specifically in national COVID-19 support with free shipping.

“Danielle and I run our small business out of our home in North Augusta, SC, so while we quarantine we are fortunate enough to continue to operate and create what we love every day. We are still shipping orders out weekly and will continue to do so until we cannot any longer."

It's time to support local - 50% of the proceeds for these keychains go to support humanitarian efforts!

Safety First

No need to fret about your order, this duo is keeping safety on the forefront of their minds. "We are constantly wiping down our surfaces and washing our hands and scheduling our mail carrier to pick up our orders, so we don't have to venture from the house.”

To help mitigate growing health concerns, all local restaurants have been ordered to close their dining facilities with the option to continue delivery and curbside pickup services. All indoor recreational facilities have also been asked to close their doors including, bars, salons, and gymnasiums. For more information please visit the City of Augusta's website
