Wild about nature? Phinizy Center & Nature Park is just the place for you. This amazing nature park has changed tremendously through the years. Native Americans first occupied this area, leaving behind artifacts and evidence of the tribes that called the swamp home.

Fun Fact: Phinizy Nature Park is estimated to be about 1,100 acres.

Phinizy Swamp Nature Park is free and open to the public 365 days a year, roughly from dawn to dusk. This is a great place for kids and groups, but also can be explored solo.

Park Activities

Enjoy events like Swamp Saturday Hikes, Children’s Hikes with Story Time, Full Moon Hikes, and Phinizy Family Camping. The Visitor Center features park information, natural history exhibits, and an observation hive with an active bee colony. Children can stop at the Kids’ Corner and color pictures of the park's mascots, Phin & Izzy.

Phinizy has several key spots that are perfect for sightings of wildlife.
