Let’s be real, no one is dreaming of a kale salad…but a melt in your mouth donut is something we can get behind.

Miles and Joceyln Sao are husband and wife owners of Heroes Donuts. Miles, who is retired military, wanted to continue his support when it comes to heroes, and the locally ingredient sourced donut shop does just the trick! “[We make] homemade donuts to sweeten the lives of our local Augusta community,” expressed Miles.

The Augusta suggestion? We’ve been told the Apple Fritter is AMAZING, along with the bacon maple doughnut, we’ll let you decide your favorite! And, the best part is they are all under $3.

Be sure to follow them on Instagram (@heroesdonuts) to preorder for pick-up or delivery!

ProTip: Let us see your favorite spot for this delight by using #loveaugusta on your post.

Where else can you grab this scrumptious treat locally? We have a list below.

New Moon Cafe: Swing through this downtown hotspot, they're known to have fresh treats baked fresh daily.

Namaste Indian Street Food: Want to take a twist on this national day of sweetness?  Our pick is the Gulab Jamun, which are donut balls soaked in honey (you just audibly said ahhh yum).
