Are you ready to experience the outdoors in a new way? At Phinizy Center & Nature Park, you'll take a small hike across the nature park's most popular and scenic location, the Flood Plains Boardwalk. Becoming a Citizen Scientist will require you to put on your waders and grab your dip nets while interacting with Phinizy Research Scientists and the habitat.

AN OUTDOOR GROUP ACTIVITY

For groups looking for a unique outdoor experience, Eco Explorers - Become a Citizen Scientist is it! You'll collect data and samples that you will take to the Phinizy Center Water Quality Laboratory. Get ready to don your very own lab coat to study your finding with Phinizy Research Scientists.

CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESS

After you and your team have analyzed your data and recorded your findings –– it's time to celebrate with light refreshments in the Phinizy Center & Nature Park "Visitor Center Swamp Shop." This is a great time for selfies, getting commemorative merchandise, and trying out the "Phinizy Swamp Thing" a light-bodied beer created by Savannah River Brewing Co. with this wonderful marvel of nature in mind.
