DESTINATION AUGUSTA LEADERS SELECTED FOR LEADERSHIP AUGUSTA CLASS OF 2026
AUGUSTA, GA – Destination Augusta is proud to announce that two of its team members, Karen Lee Davis and Sarah Childers, will play key roles in the Leadership Augusta Class of 2026—further strengthening the organization’s commitment to community leadership and regional collaboration.
Karen Lee Davis, Chief Marketing Officer, has been named a member of the 2026 class. Her selection reflects not only her expertise in destination marketing but also her deep dedication to community connection and regional storytelling. Her participation will bring fresh insights and strengthened partnerships to Destination Augusta’s ongoing mission to position Augusta as a vibrant place to live, work, and visit.
Sarah Childers, Director of Destination Development, will serve as Chair of this year’s class. A proud Leadership Augusta alumna, Sarah’s leadership in this role highlights Destination Augusta’s influence in cultivating forward-thinking leaders committed to the region’s growth and vitality.

Now in its 46th year, Leadership Augusta is a ten-month program of the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce that brings together a diverse group of local leaders to explore the issues, opportunities, and connections that shape the region. The 2026 class includes 37 professionals from industries ranging from education to healthcare to the arts.
