Augusta's River Region celebrates Independence Day in style with concerts and fantastic fireworks displays, live patriotic music and summer fun for the entire family.
Randy Houser and Jon Langston will headline Fort Gordon's Celebration. Enjoy food, beverages and live music to commemorate America's 241st Birthday. There will be kiddie carnival rides, fun family activities and so much more. Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to get comfy for the firework spectacular beginning at dark. (No pets, coolers or tents.)
The River Region's popular choral ensemble, Augusta Bel Canto, will give a free performance at the Augusta Museum of History that will feature a widely-varied program that includes patriotic selections, some with audience participation, songs from the American songbook, American folk songs, and spirituals.
Spend the afternoon enjoying America's favorite pastime at Lake Olmstead Stadium as the Augusta Greenjackets take on the Columbia Fireflies. Kids will love the play area inside the stadium. Stay after the game for the fireworks spectacular.
Mistletoe State Park hosts a parade through the park. Golf carts, bicycles and pets are all welcome to participate in the annual parade. The route will take the parade around campsites 1-67.
Augusta will celebrate July 4th in the Augusta Common with family friendly activities all day. Crafts, inflatables, funnel cakes and more in the park. Don't miss the fireworks show over the Savannah River after dark.
Retired Brooklyn police officer, tenor Daniel Rodriguez, will be joined by the 100 member Independence Chorus and Orchestra at St. Paul's in a program of favorite patriotic hits followed by Augusta's downtown fireworks display. Officer Rodriguez almost lost his life on the morning of 9/11. His rendition of "God bless America" helped unite the country and he has guest starred at numerous patriotic celebrations including those on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Seven World War II veterans and Active Duty Military from all five branches will also participate.
After the Star Spangled Fourth concert and fireworks, hang out with friends at the Afterglow Party. Catered by Publix, Coca-Cola and the Pumping Stations.
The kids will love riding the 47 foot Ferris Wheel, rolling around in hamster balls, splashing on the slip and slide and lots more in Evans Towne Center Park. Live music and food throughout the day with fireworks at dark.
