The Giver

 November 12 at 2pm

The world of The Giver is a utopia. The people are assigned their roles in society, and men and women are assigned to each other. When children turn 12, they are assigned their roles in society. When Jonas turns 12, he is assigned the special role of Receiver of Memories. He goes to work with the Giver, who keeps the memories of the world as it used to exist. Together, Jonas and the Giver come up with a plan that will change their world forever.

Aiken Community Playhouse (ACP) is a non-profit, volunteer, community theater dedicated to producing quality shows at reasonable prices. ACP is also a teaching theater so that people who have always wanted to "be in theater" as an actor, director, stage hand, lighting/sound person, or set designer can get hands-on training while participating in producing a show.
