Encounter came to Augusta in 2017 and they chose a small farm in Hephzibah to be the location for the beginning of the story of this dramatic alien thriller. The director, Paul Salamoff, includes nods to Augusta life throughout the film, from the radio station being 95 Rock, to exterior shots of TBonz and Paine College.
