The Match Girl
Show Map

England: Early 1800s - It is Christmas as we visit the home of Ginny and Eon Wescott. They, along with their 4-year-old son Patrick, await the arrival of twins. Their home is accustomed to many more children for it is a Home for Girls. Eon works for a match factory in East London and the girls from the home sell the matches to help support the Girls Home. Tragedy strikes soon after the birth and Eon is forced to make a bargain that sets the course for the story. The Match Girl is adopted from the Hans Christian Anderson story called The Little Match Girl and is a rich and beautiful musical to touch your heart. Performances on November 8, 16 and 27 include dinner and are $25 admission. All other shows do not include dinner.
