Description:

Explore the historic and natural surroundings of the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area on Discovery Walks conducted by subject-matter specialists and last about an hour and a half.

Can Trout Live in the Canal? : Carl Hammond-Beyer, science faculty member, Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School and principal investigator of the Canal Trout Viability Project, will lead a walk to see what local students have learned about raising Rainbow Trout and the water quality components that affect aquatic life in the Augusta Canal.
