Canal Discover Walk

Explore the historic and natural surroundings of the Augusta Canal National Heritage Area on Discovery Walks conducted by subject-matter specialists and last about an hour and a half.
Cold-Blooded Critters : Donna Wear, Ph.D., professor of biology, Georgia Regents University, will lead a walk to look for and learn about turtles and other reptiles living in and on the Augusta Canal.
