This year’s Border Bash celebrates the event’s 20th anniversary and will feature Blackberry Smoke as the headlining artist. Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, the band is the epitome of Southern Rock. As blue collar as the bandanas its members wear, Blackberry Smoke mixes elements of gospel, bluegrass, arena rock, soul and more than a touch of outlaw country, creating a sound which has earned them a passionate fanbase. The band’s most recent album, The Whippoorwill, was their first release on Zac Brown’s Southern Ground label and Blackberry Smoke continues to see success with the record – you can catch them on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Wednesday, July 10.
Border Bash 2013 will also see the return of fan faves, The Joe Stevenson Band, University of Georgia and University of South Carolina cheerleaders as well as mascots Cocky and Hairy Dawg. All of this plus great vendors, food, drinks and fun games make Border Bash the place to be with your family and friends on Friday, September 6.
